Surprisingly, they are not!  ER physicians are motivated to ensure that the patient has not sustained a life-threatening injury, such as a brain bleed.  A proper concussion evaluation normally occurs a day or so after leaving the ER.


Again surprisingly, there are none!  ER physicians will most likely perform a CT scan which is intended to identify a brain bleed.  With a negative CT, there are no other procedures performed in the ER that could identify a concussion.
